Care of Members

Friends bring issues and needs to the Care and Counsel Committee, which provides spiritual and at times financial help through the Meeting while maintaining confidentiality as requested by the members involved. Issues may include medical, financial, or emotional needs, as well as decision-making. There are additional resources available though Philadelphia Yearly Meeting. Emergency grants through PYM provide one-time assistance to members facing a short-term financial crisis.

The Fred Carrier Testimonies fund supports various Quaker programs, projects and interests of our members and attenders through a generous grant from one of our members. For information, please contact us.

Tuition assistance is available or children attending Pre-K through 12th grade at Friends Schools located within the Philadelphia Yearly Meeting area. The family must be active in the life of the Meeting and the child should participate in the life of the Meeting in some way, such as by attending First Day School. There is no support for children both of whose parents are attenders. For information about the application process, please contact us.
